A SACRED PALCE, A BOLD VISION

The SMFHC is a sacred place where Faith and fellowship flourish. From across New England, thousands of people and families have come to the SMFHC, where they have had a life-changing encounter with Christ and fostered relationships with others through retreats, camping programs, and other activities. The Legacy Campaign will strengthen and endow the SMFHC as the preferred retreat and conference center in New England for Orthodox and non-Orthodox non-profit groups alike. The bold vision of this initiative will modernize our campus and expand and deepen our commitment to our programs and ministries that serve young people, parishes, and the surrounding community.

  • Continue to inspire and grow Church and community leaders by modernizing and expanding our  campus facilities that serve youth, parishes, and community partners.

  • Embrace individuals and families of all abilities into our programs by installing wheelchair ramps and other accessible modifications.

  • Expand the sacramental center of SMFHC by renovate enlarging the St. George chapel.

  • Enhance the waterfront area, adding additional activity spaces in one of the most popular areas.

  • Strengthen cultural education programs with the addition a new Arts and Education indoor activity hall.

  • Preserve the heritage of Greek Orthodoxy in New England through the development of an Archive and History Center.

  • Create an Operating Endowment that will provide for ongoing facility maintenance and staff recruitment.

  • Modernize technology and maintenance infrastructure to enhance Center administration and ministry management.

  • Increase sustainable revenue generation through expanded facility rentals.
