YOUTH & YOUNG ADULT MINISTRIES

The MBC camping program at SMFHC connects Orthodox young people from across New England and provides them with transformative opportunities for learning, faith formation, and fellowship.
For over 35 years, our camping ministry has enrolled over 10,000 young people and is experiencing tremendous growth with almost 1,000 registrations in 2024.
Camping and retreat ministry has been shown to be among the most effective methods in the spiritual development of young people.
The camping program successfully builds a leadership pipeline for churches throughout New England.
Alumni rally around their camp experience using it as inspiration to lead lives of faith, take leadership roles in their parishes, choose their spouses, and baptize their children into the Orthodox Faith.

PARISH SUPPORT, CULTURE, HERITAGE AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

The retreat house at SMFHC inspires families and parish ministry groups in a safe and peaceful setting through retreats, gatherings, and conferences.
SMFHC hosts year-round programs and retreats for clergy, parish councils, Philoptochos, and other ministries vital to the health and vitality of our Church.
The quiet and remote location of 300 acres of New Hampshire woodland is an attractive setting for other Orthodox jurisdictions and community groups to host events, retreats and multi-day activities.
SMFHC is an exceptional location for archiving, maintaining, and growing our Orthodox and Hellenic cultural presence in New England.
